How to schedule posts on Instagram
“ I have to finish studying, go to work and in
gym and I have to remember to publish that post on Instagram… ”.
Don’t worry, what I can do is recommend some tools for post scheduling on Instagram … for the rest you have to do it yourself. 🙂
Scheduling posts on Instagram saves you a lot of time, especially if you follow a certain strategy and post several times a day .
In this article, we see how to schedule posts on Instagram and which tool to use.
Programming posts on Instagram: what are the advantages?
Time is money and instead of spending 20-30 minutes a day (or even more), wouldn’t it be better to spend a couple of hours on a single day, but schedule posts for the whole week?
That way you’ll have time to spend on something else, maybe creating content for the next week.
But what are the advantages? Here are a few:
- You can schedule posts on Instagram from your PC. If you edit your photos on your computer, you have a double advantage: you can schedule posts directly from there without taking any further steps. The tools that I will list later, in fact, give you the possibility to schedule your posts from both PC and app.
- You can dedicate more time to interactions with your followers . Interacting with your followers is very important to build trust and bond with them. By scheduling your posts on Instagram, you’ll have more time to spend responding to comments or DMs with questions or requests from your users.
More time for Instagram Stories, IGTV and direct . You could also dedicate this ‘free’ time to create stories, videos for IGTV and direct. In short, you can dedicate this saved time to improve your account and grow engagement.

How to schedule posts on Instagram : which tool to use?
There are several, some with free plans but with limitations, while others are paid. Here are some tools that I have personally tested over the last few years:
Crowdire has a really minimal and intuitive interface. In addition, with the ‘Plus’ plan from $ 9.99 dollars per month, it is possible to manage, in addition to Instagram, also Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and Pinterest (2 accounts for each social network).
SkedSocial (formerly ScheduGram) is one of the most popular tools for scheduling Instagram posts. The downside is that it costs more than double the price of Crowdfire and offers less functionality.
I recently tested this tool and I was very happy with it. This also costs slightly more than Crowdfire, but the basic plan offers the management of 3 Instagram accounts: very useful if you have to manage numerous profiles.

How to schedule free Instagram posts
But how to schedule free Instagram posts? Is there a way? Also in this case I have several solutions that can do for you:
PostPickr is a really fantastic tool that allows you to schedule posts on Instagram and many other social networks. With the free plan you can manage up to 3 profiles. Obviously the free plan has some limitations that are eliminated with the paid plans.
This is a recently added Facebook feature. Facebook is releasing this feature little by little for everyone, but it should already be available to most users.
There are some features, however, that Creator Studio has not yet included compared to external tools like PostPickr .
Well, we’ve seen how to schedule Instagram posts and save time for other things.
The question I’m sure you will ask yourself now is: “But won’t I lower engagement if I schedule posts?”.
I guessed it, right? 🙂
I too thought that by scheduling the posts I would get less engagement, but then doing some tests was not the case. So don’t worry, your engagement will always depend on your content.
