What #hashtag do I use on Instagram?
Instagram is one of the most recent social networks that has grown the most in recent years. With only five years of life, it has become the main network for sharing photos . You already know that little by little applications to upload photos from the computer are emerging, but the essence of Instagram is still the moment. You see something that catches your attention, you photograph it with your mobile phone, you apply a filter and seconds later it is online.
But as you already know, this network is not Facebook, if you have a profile on Instagram what you want is for your photos to reach the largest number of people. Therefore, there are two basic principles that you must follow: make your profile public (a private profile does not make much sense in a network like this since only your followers will be able to see the photos) and learn to use the hashtag . Instagram is not Twitter either, there are some hashtags that Twitter could work very well but not on Instagram and vice versa. On Twitter humor tends to prevail, many times a curious or ironic hashtag can turn a topic into a trending topic, you will remember what happened with #turismobisbal . But to succeed on Instagram we must be much simpler and more intuitive. Here you have what I consider the best hashtag with which we must accompany our photographs so that they reach the largest possible number of users:
1. # Location hashtag
If you are traveling and take a photograph of a monument, if you have just photographed the sunset in the main square of your city, or are simply having a coffee with a friend and you have immortalized that moment, use a hashtag to say where you are. As I said before, the essence of Instagram is to capture the moment, but also the place. Users are eager to see photos of their city, make it easy for them.
2. #Hashtag of content
Tell what you are seeing, describe with a hashtag . They are the simplest but the most effective: what are you up to with friends? don’t forget to include #beer in the hashtag; What do you want to show your carnival costume? Well #carnaval ; What are you savoring a delicious chocolate cake? surely you will just write the hashtag #happiness (and #chocolate could also work). It is recommended that the hashtag have to do with the photo you are tagging, you can put #flowers to a photo of luxury cars but it would not make any sense, users looking for flowers will not like to your photo. (This is logical but there are many people who do it …)
3. #Hashtag of brands and campaigns
Very useful for companies. They are mostly used in contests but they are also used spontaneously by users. Some brands are nice and if you name them they will thank you with a like or a comment on your photo.
4. #Hashtag very popular on Instagram
There are a number of hashtags that have already become popular on this social network and many users regularly use them to group their photos. They are usually photographs with a specific theme that attract the attention of a large part of the community. If you want to get a large number of likes , it is highly recommended to find out about the most used and popular hashtags and use them. I leave you some of them:
0 Do you know or do you usually use any more? Leave me a comment at the end of the article and it will be of great help to me and to all the coffee growers who follow me.
5. Do not abuse the hashtag
The greater the use of tags, we will have greater visibility and therefore more interactions. However, it is not advisable to abuse hashtags, it is difficult to find several lines of hashtag in an image. In addition, Instagram does not recognize more than 30. Also remember that you can still use numbers in hashtags, never punctuation marks, as is the case with Twitter hashtags.
